Salem Social Dance Club 4th Friday Dance Message from Robert: January dance is on 1-22-2010 That's right it's a week from tomorrow, the 22nd... which of course really is the 4th Friday and guess what? we are back at Center 50+ for the January and Feb dances... The lesson is at 7:30pm Lora LaMon will be teaching... 30 minute waltz lesson... a few minutes of waltz basic then some important styling tips and then one fancy move... the lesson ends at 8pm and we dance straight through until 10pm with (of course) one or two mini lessons thrown in... We'll have refreshments... mostly healthy stuff...mostly and if anyone wants to do some social dancing one other night each month... like on the first Friday or the third Saturday... let me know and I'll see if I can find a place. If you know of good places to dance in and around Salem let me know and I'll try and get the word out. I'm not going to repeat what you all already know about Debra's, Lora's and Kathy's lessons and places to dance... if you're not in the loop... ask me on the 22nd. One of the things we do well at our dances is we switch partners... so let's keep it up... folks who come to the dance by themselves really want to dance... folks who come with partners almost always have fun when they try a new partner. I'm trying to dream up some kind of fun contest (as we've had in the past) but I'm coming up short of really creative ideas... so... if you can think of something were nearly all the dancers would be comfortable being out on the floor as part of a contest...let me know...
